Hi and thanks for tuning into the official Shanghai Nights website. I
created this page to give folks a way to follow the exploits of a
couple of our favorite rockers - Keith Moseley, Scott Law, Jeff Sipe,
and Gibb Droll.
The guys recently got together in Boulder for their first ever
rehearsal following Jeff's Halloween show at the Fillmore with Leftover
Salmon. In fact, it was the first time that Scott and Gibb had spent
any significant time together.
Things went well. Really well. Twenty-five songs learned, four new
songs written by the band - all in a day and a half. Not so bad.
I thought I'd post a few songs from their first practice session to our
MySpace account for you guys to check out. The first song is Rhutabega
- one of the new ones written by the band.
Something for you to remember - these aren't mastered recordings - so
far from it, in fact, that it's laughable. But it's a great opportunity
to get a little dose of our very own "Making the band" so take it for
what it's worth. I'll post a new song every other week or so, so make
sure to join our MySpace, Facebook, or Twitter accounts if you want to
stay abreast of the latest updates.
Hope you like the stuff. Look forward to seeing you at the Wonder on
NYE, and if you get a chance and are in the Pacific Northwest, make
sure to check-out Keller Williams with Moseley, Droll & Sipe.
They're in Eugene on the 13th, Portland on the 14th, and Seattle on the
15th.
